The Kent project originates from a typological analysis of the Windsor chair, reinterpreted through a contemporary design language.
The goal was to preserve the lightness and recognizability of the original model while introducing updated proportions and construction solutions.
The structure is made of solid wood, shaped through bending techniques that define the backrest as the key element of the design. Its V-shaped profile enhances torsional rigidity and creates visual continuity between the seat and the back. The vertical rods, reinterpreted in a minimal way, maintain a link with traditional craftsmanship while expressing a more understated, contemporary character.
The project combines industrial processes with manual craftsmanship, with a focus on the tactile quality of surfaces and on the expressive value of wood as an essential material element.
